Head Coach / Director - Steve Ikenn
Steve Ikenn has coached basketball at the Junior High and High School levels for 23 years. He has a proven track record, accumulating a winning percentage of over 70% across his career. He is currently in his 12th year coaching at Stevenson High School.
Many of his past players have had successful high school careers, several have gone on to successful college careers and one was drafted in the WBNA.
This is the Steve's 4th year as Head Coach and Director of the Hoop Defenders basketball program.
Coach - Kristin Gulinski
Kristin Gulinski played basketball at Stevenson High School from 1996-2000 and contributed to 2 conference championships, 4 regionals, 2 sectionals and 1 super sectional appearance.
Her coaching experience includes the 6th grade Junior Patriot (SHS Feeder) team for 2004-2005 followed by four years coaching girls at Grayslake Central High School. During that time she was Interim Head Varsity basketball coach during two seasons.
Kristin has coached two seasons with Hoop Defenders working with the 5th and 6th graders in 2008 and the 6th and 7th graders in 2009.
